MOROCCO - BHUTAN

Diplomatic relations

 

Morocco and Bhutan established their diplomatic relations on 21 November 2011, by virtue of an agreement signed by the Permanent Representative of Bhutan to the United Nations, Ambassador Lhatu Wangchuk, and the Permanent Representative of Morocco, Ambassador Mohammed Loulichki, at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of Morocco in New York.

 

Although Morocco does not have a diplomatic representation in Bhutan, the two countries maintain permanent contact through the Moroccan Embassy in New Delhi.

 

Ambassador Mohamed MALIKI, presented to the King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk, on 17 November 2017, his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Morocco to the Kingdom of Bhutan.

 

The two countries are commonly supporting the basic values of freedom, democracy and the free market. They are also willing to strengthen their cooperative relations which would result in the sharing of benefit sin broad areas, including the political, economic and cultural.
