Investing in Morocco Made Easier: Government Reduces Required Documents by 45%

Morocco is fast becoming one of the most attractive investment destinations in Africa, thanks to the government's ongoing efforts to simplify administrative procedures and promote digital transformation. In the latest move, the government has reduced the number of documents required from investors by 45%, making investing in the country easier than ever before.

This announcement was made by the Minister of Investment, Convergence and Public Policy Evaluation, Mohcine Jazouli, during a meeting of the National Commission for Simplification of Administrative Procedures. The government has defined five techniques to simplify the investment process, including replacing some documents, allowing the administration to produce some documents instead of asking investors to provide them, producing some documents only after obtaining committee approval, eliminating unnecessary documents, and replacing some documents with pre-prepared forms.

These new changes build on the previous simplification and digitization of 22 administrative decisions through the electronic platform "CRI Invest." The result is a more streamlined and efficient process that reduces the amount of paperwork required from investors, making it faster and easier to do business in Morocco.

Investors who choose Morocco can benefit from a range of opportunities across different sectors, including renewable energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and tourism. The country boasts a strategic location, skilled workforce, and favorable investment climate. The government's commitment to simplifying administrative procedures and promoting digital transformation makes Morocco an even more attractive investment destination.

With the development of the national portal for administrative procedures and processes, Idarati.ma, investors can also easily access all the information they need about the investment process in Morocco. The portal provides a single point of access to all government services and information, enabling investors to save time and effort.

In conclusion, the Moroccan government's efforts to simplify administrative procedures and promote digital transformation have made investing in the country easier and more attractive than ever before. With reduced paperwork, streamlined processes, and a favorable investment climate, Morocco is poised to become a leading investment destination in Africa.
